This is the Cloudmaven website with the new technology underneath it and the search engine work done. It is not public. Click around it exactly as a visitor would, and whenever something looks wrong, press the yellow button in the corner and say so.
If it says you're not allowed in, your address isn't on the list yet. Tell Carsten and it takes him a minute.
The whole site, all 286 pages, working. Click through it like a customer would. This is the one to start with.
Want to see what a visitor in Germany or the UK gets? Add ?region=de or
?region=uk to the end of any page address. The company named in the footer changes —
Cloudmaven GmbH for Germany and Austria, Cloudmaven UK Ltd. for the UK and Ireland, Cloudmaven AG
for Switzerland. That happens automatically for real visitors based on where they are.
The same site without any of the new work, so you can put the two side by side in two browser tabs and see whether we've made it better or just different.
A list. Red is what the site says today, green is what we changed it to. Filter it, search it, disagree with it.
The notes everyone has left, newest first, with a link to the page each one is about.
On every page, bottom right corner:
Something wrong here?
Press it, pick what kind of thing it is, type what's wrong and what it should say instead. Send. That's the whole thing — no email, no forms, no ticket. The page address comes along automatically, so you never have to explain which page you meant, and your name is attached because you already signed in.
Be as blunt and as specific as you like. "This whole paragraph is wrong, it should say X" is more useful than "the tone feels off". If you can paste the exact sentence, do.
Four things, and none of them touch a word of the page copy:
If you want the numbers rather than the summary, they are on the page-by-page list.
No. It is a copy. The worst you can do is leave a note nobody acts on.
On purpose. This proves the new technology serves the current site correctly. Changing how it looks at the same time would make it impossible to tell which change broke what.
Very. We already found several — one headline reads "Oil & GAs", and a few pages about contracting carry paragraphs about banking. Flag anything like that.
No. Everything is in the browser. Only Abdel needs the code, and that's a separate conversation.
